Sheffield’s premier casino, The Grosvenor Casino, hosted the South Yorkshire regional final. The top prize of the day was a seat into our VEGAS100 National Final, which will be played IN Las Vegas next year.
As well as the numerous prizes on offer for our players, we also award the best represented venue with a trophy. This award without doubt went to the Gamekeeper’s Wednesday league as three of the players made the final table. Congratulations to Elliott Whelpton, Jack Coney, Leon Moreton & Dean Sawaby.
Mick Rispin hit the final table with a big stack of 299,000, leaving the majority relatively short stacked. Mick didn’t waste too much time in reaching the heads-up encounter with Sheffield’s Paul Simms. The day belonged to Mick as the final hand saw his 4-3 hit a lucky river against Paul’s 10-7 on a 6-7-4-J-3 board to crown him the new South Yorkshire regional final champion and the next VEGAS100 qualifier.
