Short stack Gus Cuthbert hit the rail in 7th with Rory Gibbons in 6th, Matt McLean in 5th, Carl Norton in 4th and Kevin Sams in 3rd. The heads-up match came down to Bobby Regan and Gary Lythe to battle for the title and package into Vegas 100. The final hand proved to be a bit of a car crash as Gary’s QQ flopped a set but was up against Bobby’s nut flush draw. The final board was 8-Q-7-A-8 to give Gary Lythe a full house and the title of North East champion.
