There were no comebacks from short stacks Ian Sandland and Alisha Layne as they hit the rail in 10th and 9th place respectively. The remaining 8 players were guaranteed a semi final seat as Mike Moore exited in 8th with Daphne Hanson 7th, Paul Butler 6th, Terry Barker 5th, Stuart Watson 4th and Nick Moody 3rd. Richard Craig and Tom Harper went heads-up in what was undoubtedly the biggest heads-up game of their lives. With Richard having the bigger stack he picked up two Aces against Tom’s K-Q. Needless to say the chips soon went in as the board ran out 9-10-5-8-Q in Richard’s favour and with it making him the new West London regional champion.
