188 runners made it to the Circus Casino in Star City, Birmingham for the sceond West Midlands Final.

After several hours of hard fought poker the final eight players sat around the final table with Jamie Hodson of the Bulls Head, Bidford as the chip leader with 275k and Chris Haim of the White Lion, Heptonstall shortly behind with 200k.
As the final table developed Jamie and Chris went heads-up with Chris taking the trophy and £500 first Prize. Chris went into the final hand with Ah Kc against Jamie’s Ac Qd, the flop delivered 10s 10h 4d, 2s on the turn and 9d on the river.
Chris had not been able to attend the West Yorkshire regional final in Leeds last weekend and made the 240 mile round trip only after another player from his pub agreed to drive.  Chris, however, did promise to pay for petrol.
