Our much valued East Midlands members entered the Grosvenor Casino in Nottingham to battle for a number of top prizes including a trip to Las Vegas. 7 UK National Final seats were also up for grabs as play got underway.

The region had a new number 1 venue in the Green Dragon in Hucknall. Their representatives were Marilyn Colclough, Scott Collison, Martin Bremner & Russell Woodward. They take back a nice glass trophy to have on show behind the bar!

A 9 player final kicked off with 3 previous Vegas 100 qualifiers in Mark Tansey, Geoff Coy and Martin Bremner. The first player out was Padraic Hoolihan who unfortunately bubbled the UK National Final seats and cash prizes in 9th place. Redtooth youngster Andrew Wright finished in 8th place with Geoff Coy 7th, Liam Bould 6th and Kevin Dowson 5th. Caroline Quinn and Martin Bremner both fell to Mark Tansey in the same hand as all 3 tabled a straight with Mark holding the nut straight. This left our 2013 Vegas 100 runner-up Mark Tansey in fantastic shape against Jake Norfield. However, a few double-ups from Jake gave him the chip lead and went on to finish the job after his 10-9 defeated Mark’s 6-2 on a 6-2-10-10-3 board.
