The popular Grosvenor Casino in Aberdeen welcomed Redtooth Poker members from Aberdeen and surrounding areas as nearly 100 players looked to follow in William Cressy‘s footsteps and claim the next North Scotland golden ticket. The usual £500 cash was also shared between the day’s top finishing players.

The team event was won convincingly by the Zoar Inn in Forfar who boasted RPT Dundee winner Fiona Mackintosh among their representatives. Congratulations also goes to Derek Stewart, 2014 Vegas 100 member Louise Holdaway & Valerie Ferrie.

Our 10 player final was dominated by our Aberdeen and Inverness venues as those areas provided 6 of the 10 players. Kevin Cairney held a slight chip advantage over Luke O’Brien as play got under way. The two short stacks couldn’t make any inroads as Brian Buchan exited in 10th and Chris McIntosh 9th. Chris’s elimination brought us to the cash prizes as Robert Cumming finished in 8th place to Val Ferrie‘s 7th, Fiona Mackintosh in 6th, Kevin Cairney 5th, Norman MacLeod 4th & Luke O’Brien 3rd.

Our heads-up match was a battle between 2 Aberdeen lads as Mark Henderson battled Karl Brownell for the golden ticket to Vegas. The tournament came to a crashing end for Karl as his 6-4 saw a flop of 3-2-4 only for Mark to be holding 3-2 and with a turn and river of Q-7 Mark was crowned the last North Scotland champion.
