The Ricoh Arena, the venue for our UK National Final in October also hosted our West Midlands Two regional final. A trip to Las Vegas was awarded to the day’s winner along with £500, UK National Final seats & a team trophy!

As always our first award of the tournament was the team event trophy which was won by a long time Redtooth Poker venue, the Chase Hotel in Nuneaton. Congratulations to Dean Piper, Alun Sweeney, Maria Eardley & Martin Pickard.

A 9 player final kicked off with Craig Nuttall leading the way on 190,000 chips. Steve Lines was the short stack on just 10,000 chips. The first player eliminated was Craig Lockyear, Craig was soon followed by Steve Lines, Mike Bowler, Oliver Handy, Peter Hodkinson, Trevor Ford & Greg Nuttall

Greg’s elimination left Philip Whitehouse and Helen Franklin to battle for the 2 remaining prizes, a trip to Las Vegas and £200. After a mini fightback from Philip he took the crown as his Q-8 beat Helen’s 6-5 on a J-2-8-8-6 board.
