The Grosvenor Casino in Newcastle welcomed our North East contingent as another VEGAS100 seat was awarded to the day’s winner. We also awarded the best represented venue with a crystal glass trophy which was presented on the day. UK National Final seats were also awarded into October’s North Final.

Long time Redtooth Poker venue, Owington Farm in Billingham, took home the team event trophy thanks to Stephen Beckwith, Michael Seery, Alex Blenkinsopp & Marcus Myrie.

A 9 player final took their seats with our Newcastle venues featuring heavily. VEGAS100 2015 member Gerard Boyd was back in contention with a playable stack of 96,000 looking for back to back VEGAS100 seats. After around an hours play we were down to our final 2 players in Liam Davidson and Shaun Holywell, still with over £1,200 worth of prizes to play for. The final hand saw Liam table 10-10 to Shaun’s A-6 as the chips went in middle. The final board ran off J-5-10-4-2 and with Shaun at risk, he was eliminated in 2nd place and Liam Davidson became the new North East champion.
