Portsmouth’s Grosvenor Casino hosted our growing South England regional final which saw around 150 Redtooth members take their seats. We also shared £500 amongst the day’s top players along with the fantastic VEGAS100 prize.
The best represented venue was also awarded with a prize in the shape of a crystal glass trophy to take back to the pub. With two finalists this award went to the Admiral Hardy in Weymouth. Congratulations to Pascal Ryan, Martin Parker, Pete Dark & James Duncan.
Our final table of 10 had no previous VEGAS100 qualifiers present so a new face would be joining the elite next year. After a long and tactical 3 hour final table we were down to our heads-up encounter between Pascal Ryan and James Taylor. The final hand saw James get the chips in with the best of it holding A-5 to Pascal’s K-8. Pascal needed help with him being at risk but a final board of 6-10-2-A-2 only strengthened James’s lead to eliminate Pascal in 2nd place and become the new South England regional final champion.
