The Grosvenor Casino in Nottingham hosted our East Midlands regional final once again with another seat into VEGAS100 up for grabs, along with cash prizes and a trophy for the best represented venue.

The team event had a familiar winner in the Mundy Arms in Heanor. This was their 4th team triumph in total and with 3 players in the top 12 they are firmly the team to beat in the East Midlands region. Congratulations to Jim McKeown, Jonathan Burrell, Malcolm Haddon & Paul Harrison.

A 9 player final saw Jonathan Burrell from the Mundy Arms lead the field on 167,000 looking for the clean sweep. However, Darren Jenkins who was just behind had other ideas by eliminating Jonathan and reaching the heads-up encounter against David Trasler. With Darren being the big stack for the majority of the final table, it didn’t take him long to complete the win as his K-7 defeated David’s A-4 on a K-A-7-2-Q board. Good luck in Vegas Darren.
