For the second leg of the RPT we visited the seaside town of Brighton where another member of VEGAS100 2016 was uncovered in this second sell out leg of this year’s tour. £600 was also shared out between places 2nd-8th.
The 10 player final kicked off with Darlington’s John Hawkswell leading the field on 209,000 in chips, making his long drive south worth it! Previous VEGAS100 member Mick Lear started as the short stack on just 47,000 chips. There were 3 other past VEGAS100 members who were all looking to qualify for their 2nd final in Kamran Nadim, Ade Clark & Rob Bennett. Rob made the best go of it out of the 4 players as he was eliminated in 5th position. Rob’s elimination meant a new face would be off to Vegas next year and we soon got down to our final 2 players with London’s Kevin Trent battling with John Hawkswell. RPT Brighton came to an end as Kevin Trent‘s A-J held a big advantage over John’s J-6 pre-flop and after an all-in and call the board ran off very safely for Kevin as Q-7-4-10-9 hit the felt. Congratulations Kevin!
