The Grosvenor Casino at the Gunwharf in Portsmouth hosted our South England regional final, one of our fastest growing regional finals in the country. One lucky Redtooth member would leave the casino with a trip of a lifetime to the gambling capital of the world, Las Vegas.

£500 was shared amongst the day’s top finishers in addition to the VEGAS100 seat along with a trophy for the best represented venue. This award went to the Jolly Farmers in Winchester. Well done to Andrew Mitchelmoore, Patrick Dixon, Ellie Cross & Lewis Mackrell.

Our 9 player final saw the two guys from the Black Bear in Wareham lead the field with Andy Cannon on 188,000 and previous VEGAS100 qualifier Andy Welsh on 102,000. The 2 Andy’s battled their way past the other 7 finalists to battle heads-up for the 2 remaining prizes. The final hand came down to Cannon’s K-4 to Welsh’s Q-6 with the latter at risk for his tournament life. The board was of no help to Andy Welsh as it ran out 4-7-7-5-9 to crown Andy Cannon the new South England champion.
