Our regional finals for season 3 kicked off in Aberdeen with opportunities to gain a golden ticket for next year’s VEGAS100 trip starting to run out. £500 was shared amongst places 2nd to 7th with a trophy going to the best represented venue.

With 2 finalists the winner of the team event was the Mecca Bingo in Aberdeen. Congratulations to Lesley Birnie, Abbie Birnie, Gerry Forbes & Ron Harris.

Our 10 player final saw Bruce Ross lead the remaining pack on 104,000 and Ron Harris the short stack on just 11,000. Surprisingly it was Andrew Swan who exited first with his 2nd largest stack of 98,000 deserting him. As we hit our heads-up encounter we had Gerry and Milan emerge from the middle of the pack to contest the VEGAS100 package. After a short heads-up battle Gerry Forbes became victorious as his A-9 kept it’s pre-flop advantage over Milan’s K-7 on a 4-5-2-10-10 board. Congratulations Gerry.
