Gunwharf’s Grosvenor Casino hosted our South England final as a near record turn-out all took their seats to battle for the ultimate prize in pub poker, VEGAS100. Only one player, however, would leave the casino with this trip of a lifetime. 18 prizes in total were awarded to our players.

Southampton’s Two Brothers claimed one of the 18 by clinching the team event trophy. Congratulations to Chris Andrews, Jamie Ellis, Andy Inkson & Mark Barnard.

Our final table took their seats all still in with a chance of the day’s top prize. Whatever the result we were certainly going to get a first time VEGAS100 qualifier! Richard Harwood started the final with the big stack as Jack Ellison had the challenge of being the short stack. Jack made a good fist of it exiting in 5th position but it was Robbie Hawkins and Mark Barnard who made the heads-up encounter with Mark experiencing this situation previously. The poker gods certainly weren’t going to let Mark miss out again like last time with a cracker of a final hand to come. Robbie tabled A-J to Mark’s Q-4 and with a flop of A-K-K Mark was all but drawing dead. That was until we saw running 4’s on the turn and river to give Mark a full house and eliminate Robbie in 2nd place! Congratulations Mark!
