The newly refurbished card room in Luton’s Grosvenor Casino hosted our Central England final which saw another Redtooth Poker member qualify for VEGAS100 next year. In total we awarded over £1,500 worth of prizes including cash, UK National Final seats and a trophy for the best represented venue.
The winner’s of the team event was the Old Punch House in Ware who were very well represented by Lee Wasylyczyn, Lisa Greer, Ben Greer & David Thompson.
Our final table included 2 of the team event’s representatives in Lee Wasylyczyn & Ben Greer. But it was Peter Patten who led the way with a stack of 181,000. Unfortunately Peter could only manage a 4th place as Andrew Winbourne and David Thomas contested the day’s top 2 prizes. The tournament came to an end when Andrew was dealt K-5 to David’s 10-9 and with both players catching the flop the chips were always finding the middle. With David at risk and a board of K-9-J-3-J, Andrew Winbourne earned the check mark to eliminate David in 2nd place and become the new Central England champion.
