The Las Vegas style Grosvenor Casino in Coventry, part of the Ricoh Arena, hosted the West Midlands Two regional final which gave our West Midlands member another chance of qualifying for the greatest prize in pub poker, VEGAS100. In total we awarded over £1,500 worth of prizes in this regional final alone!

One of the day’s prizes was a crystal glass trophy which went to the day’s best represented venue. On this occasion the Chase Hotel in Nuneaton won the award and they were very well represented by Dave Mann, Greg Nuttall, James Dallah & Dean Piper.

Mitch Couzens started the final as the favourite sitting on a stack of 159,000 with Graeme Kellett holding the short stack with just 39,000 chips. As Jack Lawson was eliminated in 3rd position our heads-up encounter came down to Mike Knight against Mitch Couzens for the trip of a lifetime to Las Vegas. After a short heads-up battle it was Mike Knight from the Copcut Elm in Droitwich who triumphed and has now secured his seat into VEGAS100 next year. Good luck Mike!
