Adam Fairfield from the Mundy Arms in Heanor climbed 5360 metres to Mount Everest’s Base Camp in aid of two charities, then organised and played Redtooth Poker’s highest ever poker hand. Adam faced off against his friend Preesang with guide assistant Hari as the dealer. Both players immediately went all-in with 3-3 and 10-9 and with a board of AAK 6 2, Adam was declared the winner of Redtooth’s highest ever hand of poker!

Lee “crazylee666” Hodgson who is a regular poker player at the Wrose Bull in Shipley won the £1,000 free-roll on BetFred Poker this past weekend. Believe it or not Lee was the first player to be eliminated from the recent National Final and won a bottle of wine for this dubious honour. But on Friday night the tables were turned as he defeated 201 Redtooth members to take down the final tournament of the National Final week. This capped an astonishing turn around of fortune for Lee who now has £270 to go with his bottle of wine.

dtd_national_report

So, here we are again! The 2010/11 Redtooth Poker National Final, the pinnacle of pub poker and by far the greatest show Redtooth Poker has ever put on. For those lucky enough to be there it was a record breaking day as 404 players took their seats in the knowledge of being so close but yet so far to the summit of this 112,000 player mountain.  A mountain that even makes Everest seem like a mere bump in the road. At the end of a long gruelling day, only one player would reach the summit and leave the other 403 players thinking about what could have been. Let the game begin!

In Season 4.3 Kevin Boyes, Andy Calerbank and Steve Neville took the first ever North West One team trophy back to Freckleton. 13 weeks later in season 4.4 they were at it again.
