THE REPORT
Another increased turnout hit the Loose Cannon Club with the hope of winning a package into our National Final, to be held in Las Vegas next year. £500 would also be shared between 2nd & 9th with semi final seats also given away.
The tournament got under way on time and it wasn’t long until our first group of players hit the rail (and bar!). Yusuf Behardien, Dan Day and Junior Lawrence were amongst the first group out of the tournament as the break neared.
At the other end of the tournament, Joe Hicks and James Harrison were cursing their luck as they just missed out on a final table appearance.

Our short stack Glenn Whiten who must not have given himself much chance survived long enough to win a cash prize and a semi final seat. One of the big stacks, Chris Wright, had a nightmare as he was the first player out in 10th place. Chris was shortly followed by Sheila Gaughan in 9th and Graham Walker in 8th. With Glenn making an impressive 7th place, this left a very intoxicated John Beech in 6th, Mick Liddey in 5th and Dan Morton in 4th. Justine Cargill‘s 3rd place left us with a heads-up encounter between Cemal and Deniz. The final hand saw Cemal needing help to seal the victory with his Q-J vs. K-10. The poker gods smiled on Cemal on the turn as the final board ran off 5-2-9-J-9. Congrats Cemal!
