A shade under 200 excited Redtooth Poker members entered Asper’s in Stratford hoping to win a trip to Las Vegas in the first of two London finals.

The Roaring Donkey claimed the team event with 3 top 30 finishers despite the White Horse having two finalists on the day. The Roaring Donkey’s heroes were Sandra Springate, Graham Leonard, Matty Clowes and Megan Brown.

Two surprising exits saw big stacks Paul Jackson and James Hawkins exit in 9th and 8th respectively after Stephen Gough was eliminated in 10th place. Stuart Jeffreys finished in 7th place with Kevin Trent 6th, Jimmy Richard 5th, Brett Ward 4th and John Muldoon in 3rd. John Wignell and Tom Copper went head to head for the title of East London regional final winner and the contest was soon over as John’s K-Q went up against Tom’s A-10. A board of 3-8-Q-4-J was just what John was hoping for as he became the latest East London champion.
