The Grosvenor Casino in Sheffield hosted another hugely successful South Yorkshire regional final where nearly 200 players fought for a number of prizes, including a trip to Las Vegas!

The first prize, as always, was the team event trophy which was picked up by the 4 lads from the Gamekeeper in Gainsborough. Congratulations to Elliott E, Leon Moreton, Paul Boulton & Lee Hinchliffe.

A 10 player final which had many new faces saw Karen Harvey hold the chip lead on 229,000 chips. Short stack Alan Pridmore exited first in 10th place with Kevin Faulkner in 9th, Leon Moreton 8th, Paul Marshall 7th, Basil Keelan 6th, Carl Bradford 5th, Stephen Lindley 4th & Karen Harvey 3rd. Ricardo Caldeira and Paul Williams batted for the remaining 2 prizes, a trip to Las Vegas and £200 cash. After a roller coaster final hand Ricardo was victorious after his A-Q beat Paul’s 5-3 on a 10-J-2-3-K board.
