Swindon’s Kyle Mabberley started the final as the big stack on 107,000 chips with Steve Chrisp 2nd on 88,000. Both players lasted the distance as they faced each other heads-up for the remaining 2 prizes. Kyle, holding 9-7 to Steve’s 10-2, saw an interesting 10-8-2 flop which without doubt saw the chips go into the middle. A A turn and 6 river gave Kyle the win and with Steve at risk he was eliminated in 2nd place to crown Kyle Mabberley the new West country champion.
