The Grosvenor Casino in Edinburgh hosted our South Scotland regional final with Redtooth members from Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas fighting for a seat into VEGAS 100, the greatest prize in pub poker. £500 would also be shared amongst the top finishers along with UK National Final seats.
Edinburgh’s the Royal claimed the team event with two finalists in Tony Gallacher and Jordan Hopkinson. Joe Gallacher and Sean Hopkinson also represented the venue.
Our 10 player final table had more new faces who were still to make the VEGAS 100 trip, meaning another new face would be joining us next year. Tony Gallacher led the field on 61,400 chips with Scott Egan hanging on with 11,600 in what was a very even final.
We were soon down to our heads-up encounter between Cameron Johnstone and John Cochrane who did well to build on his 29,200 stack early on. However, this was one step too far for John as Cameron’s 2-8 got the better of his Q-5 on a 2-10-2-4-4 board. Congratulations Cameron!
